Mandatory Training: 1 day courses that follow the Skills for Health Core Skills Training Framework and are accredited with The CPD Group.  Full day courses are £65 per person and Half day are £30

Moving & Positioning of People (Moving and Handling):  This course focuses on knowledge and competency skills for the safe moving and positioning of individuals with the appropriate equipment. We assess those on the course practising with all types of equipment- hoist, rotunda, transfer belt, slide sheet, banana board etc . For those that have completed Moving and Positioning with us before, the annual refresher is a half day course. Please note, you can only do the refresher course with us once you complete the full day with us. 

Introduction to Care: covers all the main core subjects in 1 day. Ideal for staff that are new to the Care Industry. The course covers: Role and Responsibilities of the Care Worker,Communication,Duty of Care,Person Centred Approaches,Handling Information ,Confidentiality, Equality & Diversity inc LGBT+ Awareness

Dementia Awareness: This course looks at all the different aspects of Dementia and how it impacts a person. We look at Dementia and the effect on the Brain/Communication/Continence/Eating & Drinking/Behaviour.

This course is interactive, we have an Age Simulation Suit (shown in the photo) which allows the learners to experience old age and the impact it has on a person physically.

Medication Awareness : This course looks at the overall requirements for Medication Support for carers within the Community and Care Homes. Objectives of the course include Basic Principles of Medication Support/Medication Legislation/8 ‘Rights’ of Medication/Forms of Medication/Medication Routes/Medication Types/Medication Risks /Potential Errors & Prevention/Roles and Responsibilities/Record Keeping and Reporting and Disposal of Medication. Please note this a half day course

Health & Safety : covers  COSHH, RIDDOR, Infection Control, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, Risk Assessment and Lone Working

Safeguarding : covers MCA, LPS (used to be DOLS), Domestic Violence and FGM Awareness

Personal and Pressure Care: covers all aspects of Personal and Pressure Care including Oral Care, Tissue Viability and Continence Awareness

Health & Safety 1 day inc COSHH/RIDDOR/Infection Control/Manual Handling/Fire Safety and Risk Assessment

Health and Safety 2 day course includes the above the second day can include any of the following Abrasive Wheels Aawareness/Working at Heights/LOLER/PUWER/Conflict Resolution

Evacuation Chair/Ski Pad with PEEPS 

Manual Handling 3 hr short course 

 A course that covers the importance of correct manual handling, manual handling operations can be hazardous to health, how manual handling operations can cause injury and harm, the scope of legal requirements with regard to manual handling operations in the workplace and  risk assessments and how they apply to safe manual handling practice

COSHH 3 hr Short Course 

 The short course covers the elements of COSHH-what hazardous substances are, the forms that hazardous substances can take, the ways that hazardous substances can enter the body, the harmful effects that hazardous substances can have, acute and chronic effects that hazardous substances can cause, identifying hazardous substances, the key legislation, and COSHH risk assessments. 

Working at Heights 3 hr Short Course

 A short course aimed at updating/refreshing knowledge on control measures to be followed , as detailed in the safe working procedure, when working at heights.
